Looking forward to the next chapter!

Dang, I realized how long it has been since I blogged here!

2016 was....meh I guess.  Not anything horrible, but sort of, is dull the right word?  Maybe....

I'm really looking forward to 2017 because I have many plans that I can't wait to delve into!

First off, this year my 5th paranormal book came out and now that that has released, I am taking a break from writing this type/style of book.  I'm shifting my writing to something I have never done before: I'm going to write about something personal, something that has deeply affected me and I know has affected others.  I have already started on it and it has been an ongoing process of which I am far from done.  I don't have a deadline nor a definitive title, but I hope over the course of 2017 I will be able to pick up the pace with it.  I am happy that a sort of "thorn in my side" is coming full circle and will be getting better, which will make the process of writing this next book so much better- woot woot for a little justice!

I started a new job and am now cross-training which is awesome!  I have been focusing my attention on that because my husband and I really want to take a vacation sometime this year- so far we have decided we want to visit a state that neither of us has ever been too! haha....

Tony (my husband of 8 1/2 years) and I have started a music project/group and named it The Mechanical Rejects.  I have written lyrics for 2 songs and we've already recorded some songs & beats.  We are also going to cover the late David Bowie song, "Let's Dance" (it is one of my favs by him) and also a song that the late George Michael put out, we just aren't sure which one yet. If we have the chance and can put together the right beats/sound, I really wanted to sing another Bowie song called, "As the World Falls Down"- it is a beautiful song AND I love the movie, "Labyrinth" that it was written for.

We created a Facebook page last year for our music group, but haven't really pushed it that hard because of work and also focusing my energy on my last book that came out:

The tracks we have made so far are all available on Reverb Nation, just CLICK HERE

There were a few memorable things that were great this year besides just my book....we made some new friends, went to a rock concert- I am hooked on the metal group September Mourning, they are beyond fantastic!  I got to meet them and talk with September (Emily Lazar) who is the front woman/vocalist and she was so sweet and personable.  Their music rocks and I'm telling you all to go see them if they come to your area next year, I know I will be awaiting their next concert when they come over to my neck of the woods again.

Here are some pictures from the concert, most of them taken by Tony----(click on each picture to enlarge it)

Here's me with Emily aka September---

Here's Tony with Emily---

Here's our group with the band, all doing "the point"

I got a SM card signed by the entire band- such awesome peeps!

Oh yeah, and me at home just getting ready to leave for the concert, sporting my September Mourning tee

Sorry for the low light but these pictures were taken at a bar so even the normal lighting was lower making the photos come off grainy- plus my phone is a couple years old too....lol

If you like rock/metal, DO check out September Mourning.....you won't be disappointed!

I've written some articles on a couple different sites, one is Mysterious Heartland and the other is Retro Junk---

I have 5 articles on Retro Junk listed below, just click on which one you'd like to check out:

Mysterious Heartland is about the paranormal and has branched out into the true crime realm as well, and Retro Junk is about anything retro- movies, music, games, you name it.  Browse both sites, they are equally awesome in their own ways.

Soooo, 2016 bye bye and 2017 can't wait to say hello to you!  There are many wonderful things to come and I am truly looking forward to embracing every single one!

CHEERS!

Have a safe and Happy New Year everyone!!
